Primer Music Festival 2019 Back with a Splash

The Primer Music Festival, what’s been dubbed the biggest dance music festival in Greece, came back to the coast yesterday, 10 July. The event was held at the Plateia Nerou in Faliro in front of thousands of energetic concert-goers.

The festival debuted last year with the likes of Steve Aoki and local group Playmen as a part of the mix. This year’s lineup was even more impressive with sensational artists such as J Balvin and DJ Snake headlining.

The last time J Balvin found himself on the Athens coast was in 2014 when he performed with Eleni Fouriera at the MAD VMA Awards. The hit song Tranquila topped charts that summer and continues to be a fan favorite.

His success since then has been immeasurable. This time around J Balvin was reportedly on the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos enjoying a well deserved summer holiday while also filming a new video clip before making his way to Athens. The Colombian singers new album alongside Bad Bunny, Oasis, has opened at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums, scoring the biggest streaming debut for a Latin album released thus far in 2019.
