Athens Coast has joined the ‘Let’s Clean Up Europe’ initiative and will host a few beach clean ups at various Athens beaches on May 13th, 2017 in the morning.
*Don’t see your local beach listed? Become a ‘leader’ and we will help you set it up. The more beaches we can cover, the better! Contact me for more information.
Let’s Clean Up Europe
Athens Coast is an active participant in the program and proud to represent Greece in 2017. We will help anyone plan a clean up in any area of the country- it doesn’t have to be a coastal area, it can be anywhere.
The main objective is to get people mobilized and aware of our precious environment. This will be a great activity to bring your family to and show your kids how important it is to keep our earth clean.
Beach Clean Up Events
Please RSVP to the beach that you plan to attend to help with the clean up. We will provide garbage bags and gloves for participants. Leaders will be at the designated start spot at 10:00 on May 13th to hand out supplies and direct you to specific areas that need the most help. At the end of the clean up, the leaders will assure that everything is disposed of properly.

Continued Efforts
We hope to do this again in the fall after the beach season, when our beaches really need the help. Please pick up all of your trash when you are at the beaches this summer (or anywhere for that matter!) and recycle when possible.
This is awesome. I wish I was in Greece right now so I could participate! The Gods would be happy!
Nice initiative, but it would be nice to do it in some more beach and not just 3 ones in the “posh” area of Athens. Unfortunately Greek people don´t take too much care about the dirtiness of the beaches here…
Hi Michael! I just added a link with other locations in Greece to the article 🙂 They are adding more and more each day! Maybe you can find one near you… https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?ll=38.02383930825984%2C23.24607125&z=9&mid=1dAanI-6M0Xnr4VPSdeJDZ6gaQjw
