Nalu has an adjacent beach which turns into Akanthus night club in the evenings.

Entrance to Akanthus beach is through the entrance to Akanthus night club to the right of the Nalu Cafe entrance.  Nalu beach is a beach by day and turns into the very popular Akanthus nightclub during the night time (and into the early hours of the morning).

Aegeon Beach is open to the public for 5€ per chair.   The beach is located in a small bay with 2 seaside tavernas next door.  The hotel also has a full snack bar, bathrooms and showers available to all of the beach-goers.   It’s lovely to sit on the beach and look up and see a piece of ancient history RIGHT THERE!

This location gives you the rural/seaside feeling of Greece when you are actually just minutes outside of the city.  Seafood is their main fare with all of the salads and sides to accompany which ever dish you decide on.

You have to enter the beach area using the Varkiza Resort entrance and veer left and just keep going away from the resort until you can’t go anymore.  This taverna is located next to/connected to the Nautical Athlete Club of Vari Varkiza /  Ναυτικός Αθλητικός Όμιλος Βάρης Βάρκιζας.   The waiters wear NAOBB shirts, so this can be confusing and many people actually refer to Aperanto Galazio as Nautical Club of Varkiza.  The point in mentioning all of this confusion, is in case you need to ask for directions.  This place is off the beaten path, so directions may be necessary.

When you get off the tram face the sea and go right towards the intersection with traffic lights and the overhead foot bridge, you will see signs for Akrotiri, follow those to get to the Elliniko Public beach.

This ‘free’ beach used to have some establishments around it, but now is basically just a sandy/pebbly beach off the beaten path.  There is a ‘Kantina’ (food truck) that sells snacks and beverages parked a bit past the beach, toward Akrotiri.
